In Loving Memory...
Of my mother...the mother of ten children! My mother died of ovarian cancer at the age of 61. Her words of wisdom greatly helped me in the treatment of a grandson she never knew. I want to share these words of wisdom with all of you: 1. Perfection is not of this world... No Child...or adult for that matter...is perfect. Yet, with death and eternal life, come perfection. My son may not be perfect, yet...but, one day, he will be...and he'll be with me, perfect, forever! 2. Children need to be "part of life"... they need stimulation to thrive! These words also rang so true for me...I could never put Zachary in the same boring "routine" day in and day out. Life is anything but routine and children need to be "part of life" not part of some fabricated "synthetic order" called a "routine". Routines have a purpose and for children such as Zachary, they may indeed be helpful in a "school environment". But, life needs to be exciting and spontaneous, too! Change is good...for everyone! 3. There is always someone better off than you...but, also, someone worse off than you in the world! When life seemed so difficult, these words always helped get me through another day!
