Be VERY Aware... There is a website out there that is using a website name VERY similar to mine "to raise funds for autism"... I have ABSOLUTELY NO affiliation with the website in question (whose name is autismhelpforyou.ORG). I find it VERY questionable that an autism parent organization (as it claims to be) would be using a name so similar to my website name... and as such, I, personally, am truly suspicious of this particular website. This may be a valid organization or it may be a cloaked one... I have no way of knowing. I am simply raising the issue of "very similar website names" in order that my visitors not be confused by them! My website has been hacked TWICE now... in TWO years... on TWO separate servers... and hacked ON SERVERS (not my home computer)... I have correspondence with my previous web hosting company to confirm that I have indeed been hacked twice now. When you get hacked as I have... you come to have reason for being suspicious of things like this. If nothing else, I am very much of the opinion that using this name that is so similar to mine may be deceptive to my visitors. The ONLY organizations I would personally encourage my visitors to support are the following: 1. http://www.vaccinationnews.com (best online newsletter for staying informed in terms of what the pharmaceuticals/politicians/ CDC/FDA, etc. are doing) 2. The Autism Autoimmunity Project - TAAP! (Founded By Ray Gallup this organization works with some of the very best in autism research and provides funds for that research. Note that "flawed reports" were used by the Institute of Medicine - IOM - to virtually destroy all federal funding into the autism-vaccine link... "flawed reports" the IOM very much appeared to know were flawed. For more on that issue, read Dr. Ken Stoller's Letter To The New Mexico Board Of Pharmacy dated Oct. 2005). 3. The Bible League (An organization that has nothing to do with autism, but rather is involved in supplying Bibles worldwide so that the Word Of God may reach those who may not otherwise have access to it. Prayer is just as important to our children as other forms of help and by donating to Bible League, you can put in a prayer request and help save someone else at the same time. For just a $4.00 donation, you can send a Bible to someone else in the world... someone who may also be suffering... in a very different way. Of all the causes close to my heart, this is by far the one that is the closest.) BEFORE you donate to anyone...make sure you know EXACTLY who it is you are supporting... ask to see who OWNS the organization... ask to see a list of recipients of funds donated, project or research supported, etc. The simple fact is, many of our so-called "autism organizations" are, in my opinion, nothing more than cloaked allies of the pharmaceutical industry... so... do your homework on this issue! As always, what I do... I give FOR FREE to families of the autistic (my Books, my Teaching Tools, my Research). I ask for NO donations for myself or my website but if you want to donate funds to help because you feel you have been helped by my website (http://www.autismhelpforyou.COM), please support one of the organizations I DO trust...
